Prevent Acne BreakoutsAcne breakouts can be a pain. Much more when you find out that mainstream acne treatments are not cheap at all. In fact, a lot of anti-acne products are expensive that they can make a dent on one’s savings. Good thing there are now ways to prevent acne breakouts without dipping into your hard earned savings. Check out this list of basic household items that can help you in your fight against acne and acne breakouts. Who knew that these simple things can help prevent acne breakouts?

1. Baking soda. Baking soda is pretty much common in a lot of kitchen especially when the homeowner is fond of cooking and baking. In the case of acne and acne prevention, however, baking soda has a different kind of role to play.

It can serve as a great exfoliating scrub to prevent acne breakouts. To do this, all you have to do is mix a small amount of baking soda with water. Blend this well to form a paste. Then apply this on your face. Scrub your face with circular motions for about fifteen seconds. Afterwards, wash your face well with a good anti-acne facial cleanser. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.

2. Lemon or lime juice. Or you can also use apple cider vinegar. These three are tried and tested to prevent acne breakouts. Just pour a small amount of any of these on a saucer or bowl and then, with the help of a cotton ball, apply this on your face. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before you wash your face thoroughly. What makes lemon juice, lime juice or apple cider vinegar effective is the fact that these contain citric acids which can help exfoliate the skin and can help fight the bacteria that cause acne.

3. Tea Tree Oil. This is another great household product that can help prevent acne breakouts. Tea tree oil is available in lots of beauty shops, drugstores, pharmacies and supermarkets. While most homes use tea tree oil as household antiseptic, this time, we will use it to prevent acne breakouts. Just apply the tea tree oil directly on the area of your face where there’s acne. Avoid applying it all over your face, though. Alternatively, you can blend in another type of oil such as jojoba oil to dilute it somehow. It’s only then that you can apply the mixture all over your face.

This is simply not related, but most of you probably do not know this, precisely what the heck. Just like there isn’t any “superfoods” or easy solutions to a healthy diet, don’t expect you’ll totally revamp your eating habits overnight. Changing excessive, too quickly could possibly get in the form of success. Start to remedy excesses or deficiencies with modest changes that may add up to positive, lifelong diet plan.
