Make Your Fight Against Pimples Successful With A Few Great Tips

You can revoke acne’s right to meddle with your affairs if you try out some of the tips shown here. Improving your skin is a commitment you must make. Try using tea tree oil on acne prone spots for clearer skin. Used to reduce oil buildup, tea tree oil can be less drying to the skin than many other treatments, and is a more natural product.Sometimes the temptation to pop a zit and drain the pore is nigh-irresistible. If you need to pop your blemishes, wash your hands, along with cleaning underneath your nails to prevent adding additional bacteria, which will just leave another acne mark. By popping in a responsible manner you will be able to improve your acne. One of the worst things to do with pimples is to pick at your skin. Picking at them will cause bacteria to spread, which can lead to even more blemishes. If you pick the same spot often, you can wind up breaking the skin and once the spot heals you will be left with a scar. Keep zits at bay by changing your pillowcase daily. Think about it. Also, think of how you turn and roll onto this each night. To avoid continual contamination, consider using a fresh pillowcase every night.

Whitening Products

Avoid using harsh teeth whitening products. If the skin around your mouth is prone to zits, take into account any tooth whitening products that you are using. Whitening toothpaste, mouth wash and whitening strips sometimes aggravate acne. Due to its sensitivity, the skin surrounding your mouth is especially susceptible to irritation.

If you typically wear makeup, avoid wearing it for a few days. You can also treat acne by switching to a foundation that is water-based. Make-up can exacerbate your break-outs by clogging your pores. Your skin will stay cleaner and clearer if you avoid these products.

You can actually use the used tea bags from chamomile tea to treat zits. Using cooled tea bags on problem areas can reduce swelling and redness in a few hours. Caffeine can have negative effects on your skin, causing more pimples. You may have fewer pimples breakouts if you try to avoid sources of caffeine in your diet. In conclusion, zits can become a major factor in your life, even lowering your self-confidence. However, if you follow the advice given by this article, you should be able to create a skin care routine that is beneficial for you.

Tired Of Oily Skin, Acne or Blackheads? Smear Oil All Over Your Face!

oilsEver since I turned 13, my skin lost its peachy poreless texture that all kids seem to have, and decided to become not so peachy. Part of it is my genetics, part of it was puberty, part of it was my diet, but a huge part of it was the automatic response of wanting to fight against sebum, pimples and blackheads. All we see in TV commercials are oil-fighting products, skin-peeling agents and anti-bacterial soaps when it comes to the suggested “cures” for oily, blackhead and acne prone skin. Not to mention all the cosmetic products being recommended to hide (block) those pores. But like many health issues we’re collectively facing, we’re approaching this skin condition backwards. You’re skin doesn’t need to be fought against, no matter what its condition is. It’s like any other “zen” lesson really.“Whatever you fight, you strengthen, and what you resist, persists.” ― Eckhart Tolle

Learning to WORK WITH your skin, not fight against it, will make all the difference.

If you’ve been struggling with oily, blackhead and/or acne prone skin for long, the mere thought of smearing oil all over your face may sound counterproductive. But a key thing to understand is that your skin actually produces oil because it NEEDS it to stay moisturized and healthy. Your body wouldn’t be naturally designed to produce a detrimental substance would it? Sure, some produce more oil than others, which can be bothersome, but it doesn’t change the fact that your skin wouldn’t be producing oil if it didn’t need it.

So what do you think happens when we strip our skin from its natural oils? It tries to compensate by producing more oil, which is often blocked from being released by all the tight and dried up skin caused by harsh chemical-based “acne-fighting” products. Perfect environment for the development of clogged pores, oily skin and pimples.

Instead of making your skin all confused, try nurturing it. Your skin thinks it needs more oil? Don’t take it away, give it some more! The basic concept of this approach is that the oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and clogged your pores and treat dry areas, all while “reassuring” your skin that it doesn’t need to over-produce oil.

The Oil Cleansing Method (OCM)

STEP 1. Choose your oil. I personally use coconut oil and it works great, but I have stumbled upon a website that suggests cleansing oils by skin type. Click HERE to check them out! (Avoid mineral oil) It is also recommended to mix castor oil with the oil of our choice.

Some suggestions in creating your blend of deep cleansing oil:

Oily Skin: Try a blend of 30% Castor Oil to 70% carrier Oil. Balanced Skin: Try a blend of 20% Castor Oil to 80% carrier Oil. Dry Skin: Try a blend of 10% Castor Oil to 90% carrier Oil.

STEP 2. Boil some water in a pot.

STEP 3. Apply the oil to your dry face and massage it into your skin in a circular motion for 1 to 5 minutes. Take your time on problem areas where blackheads tend to form (forehead, chin, and nose).

STEP 4. Now is the time to steam your face. Make a tent over your head with a towel and hang your head over the pot (not too close) for about 5 minutes. This will allow the oils to go deeper into your pores to dissolve impurities and hardened sebum. It also enhances the skin’s receptivity to the oil’s nutrients. You can also soak a washcloth in very warm water and apply it directly over your oily face. This is the most popular method, however I personally prefer the pot method. Choose what is more enjoyable for you.

STEP 5. (optional) When you are done steaming your face, massage your now steamed, oily skin again for another 5-10 seconds to work out any impurities from your pores. Steam again and repeat the process if you wish.

STEP 6. Remove the excess oil by scrubbing your face with a warm wet towel.

STEP 7. Close up your pores by splashing your face with cold water.

Your skin should now feel clean and smooth with no tightness at all! If any tightness is experienced, simply add a drop of the same oil to your face or apply your favorite natural moisturizer.

All the best remedies out there are the result of simply listening to the body. It will tell you what it needs and one thing is for sure: it doesn’t require a fight against nature, just work with it!

How To Choose The Best Acne Cleaner

Acne can really be a bane. Not only will it discolor or even disfigure your face, it can also be itchy and can lead to dryness of your skin or worse, scarring.  That is why it is      important to wash your face regularly with an effective acne cleaner especially if you are prone to acne. Here are some tips on how to choose the best acne cleanser for you to use.

1.  What form of acne cleanser would you prefer? Ask yourself this question first. Would you prefer an acne cleanser that is in liquid form or one that comes in bar form? Do you want ultra moisturizing and foaming acne cleansers or do you just want the regular, non foaming type? Remember, non-foaming acne cleansers tend to be better since they do not dry your skin that much compared to foaming acne cleansers. Moreover, while it is true that a lot of people do not recommend using bar acne cleansers, there still are great and effective products out there in the market. Just make sure that you go for products that have seals of approval from medical groups or those that are recommended by skin experts.

2. Figure out if you need a medicated or non-medicated type of acne cleanser. This is important because your choice will depend not only on your preference but on the level of inflammation of your skin. Naturally, it’s better to have a medicated type of acne cleanser if you have pretty sore acne. Medicated acne cleansers can be bought over the counter although some products do require prescriptions. These medicated acne cleansers usually contain salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, known cures for acne.

3. In order for an acne cleanser to really do its job, make sure that it is just meant for the face. Meaning if you have back acne or acne on other parts of your body apart from your face, then make sure that you buy separate acne cleansers for that. Your acne cleanser for the face must only be meant for the face. This is because the skin on your face is quite thin and pretty sensitive. It is more delicate compared to your body skin.

4. Get recommendations. Ask a dermatologist for recommendations on what acne cleanser to buy. You can also approach a professional aesthetician. Nothing beats asking the pros!
